The Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound is an ultra-exclusive--albeit unpretentious--golf course community. Founded by golf legend Greg Norman and co-designed by golf architect Pete Dye, the course is continually ranked as one of the top 100 in the country and one of the top 10 in Florida. A traditional golf club that emphasizes golf more than it does real estate, the Medalist has a quiet popularity with both current and past professional golfers and athletes such as Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Dan Marino, and Michael Jordan. Here, members are privy to a challenging course in a quiet atmosphere. No tee times are required, and the courteous and attentive staff make sure each experience is a memorable one. Recently, the club contracted Pete Dye protege Bobby Weed to lengthen several of the green belts by as much as 200-250 yards, creating an even more difficult, distance-oriented course. Currently, the Medalist Golf Club has a waiting list for membership. However, some of the homes for sale in this community include equity membership to the golf club.
Real estate at the Medalist Golf Club is comprised of custom, single family estates that are situated on private lots and commonly feature vaulted ceilings, marble floors, gourmet kitchens, open floor plans, and high-end appointments. Built by Zuckerman Homes, a luxury home builder, real estate ranges in size from 3,100 square feet to more than 6,000 square of indoor living space. From an exterior perspective, the homes showcase a Mediterranean-inspired architecture and boast grand entrances, backyard swimming pools, and lush landscape. The adjacent Medalist Village features its own Greg Norman designed Par 3 course for residents to enjoy at leisure. Apart from golf, members appreciate the ample amenities at the grand clubhouse, which include two tennis courts, world-class spa facility, fitness center, yoga studio, an array of dining options, and private guest cottages.
Located north of Jupiter and south of Stuart, the Medalist is an ideal place for those who desire a serene setting that is in close proximity to saltwater recreation, speciality shops, seafood restaurants, and entertainment venues.
